Across the globe, millions of students eagerly participate in writing their IGCSE and A level qualifications with the aspirations of attending world-class universities and further education institutions. Another year has arrived, where the group of British International Colleges has enjoyed the honour and prestige of their students qualifying in the top ranks in the world in these exams.

Parents often comment on the standard and expectations that Cambridge International Examinations places on their candidates, however, when one wishes to compete in a global environment one needs to be prepared and armed with the best education the world has to offer. Cambridge is the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for 14-19 year olds.

In the 2018 group, the British International College won 16 awards, one of which is a top in the world award. Brilliance Awards from Cambridge were awarded to the following British International College students: Raphaela Azar for Additional Mathematics, Rupam Ghosh for Science, Rupam Ghosh for Economics, Theo Le Donge for French Foreign Language, Kevin Kapp for Mandarin Chinese, Paulo Barros for Portuguese Foreign Language, Shirin Dadybaeva for Business Studies, Sherwin Tu for Chinese Language, Shirin Dadybaeva for Economics, Raphaela Azar for Economics, Jiaxi Yu for  Mathematics, Erica Mbang for Spanish, Meredyth Hamilton for Business Studies and the top in the world 2018 for Art & Design was awarded to Tre Malwande Mkhabela.

The University of Cambridge’s International Examinations Board Sub-Saharan Representative attended the award ceremony which was held at the end of May at British International College, Bryanston, with all the winners, their family, friends and fellow students.

Year after year, the students from this College achieve first place in South Africa in anything from 14 to 19 subjects, with some of these students achieving among the top ten places in subjects in the world. This level of achievement is unmatched by any other institution in the country!
